Not good or bad, but Alive!

3 Things!
seem to be moving so fast. So called economic crises, healthcare reform,
bailouts and so many other things seem to overwhelm most. I am not a
prophet but I know what the Bible says. Regardless of the situation you and
I find ourselves we need to remember what Paul the Apostle writes; 2Ti 3:1-
5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be
lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient
to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous,
without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash,
conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God– having a form of
godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do w ith them. From this
passage of Scripture I would like to sugg est three things to ponder. 1) F aith
2) Holiness 3) Prayer. Faith is not an option in order to please God. We
must believe and put our Trust in Jesus Christ. Remember Jesus said that
before He comes many with wonder from the faith, so we need to be
Trusting in Him to bring us through every situation and not trusting in
government or men. Heb 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and
perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross,
scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Second thing to consider is Holiness. Paul states that in the last days many
will have a form of godliness but denying its power. Many people all around
us seem to be religious. But Christian s now that religion does not bring
about a Holy life. The Bible says that without Holiness no one will see God.
So how do we live H oly lives amongst a religious godless society? Obedience
to Jesus Commands! Jesus Blood makes us Holy and we need to be Holy as
He is Holy! The H oly Spirit helps us to live Holy and G odly lives. The lost
world needs to see true believers living what they profess. Thirdly we need
prayer. This is the weapon of the believer. Paul talks about our strugg le in
this life in Ephesians chapter 6:10-18. Each piece of armor can only be put
on through prayer. Listen to Paul Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his
mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand
against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this
dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full arm or of God, so that when the day of evil comes,
you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything,
to stand. Stand firm then, with th e belt of truth buckled around your waist,
with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with
the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this,
take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming
arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the S pirit on all occasions w ith
all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always
keep on praying for all th e saints . With everything th at is going on in life
we all need these 3 things; Faith, Holiness and prayer!

Declaration of Dependence upon Christ
*that all men, according to God’s Word, are sinners.
*that the wages of sin is death-eternal separation from God.
*that no man is able to save himself, not by his character, his good works, his religious resolves, or by any other means.
*that Jesus Christ is the only Savior for lost mankind.
*that He died to redeem us and pay the penalty for our sin that we might be free.
*that by simply believing in His death, burial and Resurrection and receiving Him as your personal Savior we have Eternal Life.
We do hereby affirm our signatures to this declaration to make known our belief of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord and to acknowledge our complete dependence for time and eternity upon Him and Him Alone!
Signed by Millions upon Millions now living and dead.

Homosexuality and Christianity
Let me share some stories with you from an excellent news broadcast produced by National Public Radio. Then you decide.
Two women decided to hold their civil union ceremony at a New Jersey pavilion owned by the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association. This Methodist group told the women they could not “marry” in any building used for religious purposes. The Rev. Scott Hoffman said a theological principle-that marriage can only exist between one man and one woman-was at stake. The women filed a discrimination complaint with the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights. The Methodists said the First Amendment protected their right to practice their faith without being punished by the government. But punish the Methodists is exactly what New Jersey did. It revoked their tax exemption-a move that cost them $20,000. Then there’s the case of the Christian physicians who refused to provide in vitro fertilization treatment to a woman in a lesbian relationship. The doctors referred her to their partners, who were willing to provide the treatment. But that wasn’t good enough. The woman sued. The California Supreme Court agreed with the woman, saying that the doctors’ religious beliefs didn’t give them the right to refuse the controversial treatment. In Massachusetts, Catholic Charities was told they had to accept homosexual couples in their adoption service, or get out of the adoption business. They chose correctly-get out of the business.
In Mississippi, a mental health counselor was sued for refusing to provide therapy to a woman looking to improve her lesbian relationship. The counselor’s employers fired her-a move that was backed up by the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. In New York, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University refused to allow same-sex couples to live in married student housing, in keeping with the school’s orthodox Jewish teachings. But in 2001, the New York State Supreme Court forced them to do so anyway-even though New York has no same-sex “marriage” law.
In Albuquerque, a same-sex couple asked a Christian wedding photographer to film their commitment ceremony-and sued the photographer when she declined. An online adoption service was forced to stop doing business in California when a same-sex couple sued the service for refusing, on religious grounds, to assist them. Convinced? Clearly, homosexual “marriage” and religious liberty cannot co-exist-because gay activists will not allow them to. As marriage expert Maggie Gallagher puts it, same-sex “marriage” advocates claim that religious faith “itself is a form of bigotry.” I know this may sound alarmist, but it’s true. If we don’t work to stop this juggernaut, we may soon find ourselves hunted down at work, at school, and even at church-as others have been-by those determined to force us to accept as a moral good what God calls evil. Our attitude toward all sin must change. All sin will lead to Hell! May the Holy Spirit give all of us reading this conviction to view sin the way God does. Let us truly be Born again in Christ Jesus!
Consider prayer and think of the possibilities.

Sacrificing for The Lord!
Mark 8:34-36
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “If anyone would come after ME, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow ME. for whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for ME and the Gospel, will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world yet forfeit his soul?"
Have a prayer filled day,

Tyler and Rob Golfing.....
Well there is a golfing badge that Tyler needed. So, Rob and I took him Golfing last Wednesday (a week ago yesterday). We had a wonderful time. I was thrilled to watch Tyler learn this sport from his dad as Rob is a sports nut and a natural born teacher. I thank God daily for this new family to add to my existing wonderful family.

God is SO GOOD!!!
Then yesterday at church my Pastor that was diagnosed with Mass Cell Leukemia about 2 and 1/2 months ago came to church yesterday morning. He addressed the congregation and read some scripture to us from 1 Corn. 13 about LOVE! He endured a chemo "blast" which was continual chemo for 1 week. He spent a month in the hospital, one week for the blast and then 3 weeks to recover. He said that although his faith did waver a bit during the tough times, he has his foot on THE ROCK! It was sad to see him with no hair and very thin, but it was a great reminder of how God is not outdone and we are at HIS mercy, thank you Lord!
Our guest preacher delivered a message about discipleship and how we have to fully surrender to the Lord and die daily to the flesh! It was GREAT!
Thanks for reading... : D

Fonda's Surgery
Also.... wish daddy a happy Birthday... Big 69 years old Friday.
Still cold in Ohio... burrrr!
Just wanted to fill you in on what's going on with me and mine. My hubby, Damion and I have been married for almost 4 years now. We bought a house a little over 2 years ago in Carlisle, Ohio. It's between Middletown and Dayton, it's a great little town. We have 3 kids! I think you all knew I had twin girls way back when, they are 7 now going on 25! Their names are Maile (pronounced Miley) and Paige. And we have a little boy, Tucker that just turned 3! So we are pretty busy most of the time. The girl's take ballet lessons and we just signed them up for coach-pitch baseball and Tucker is signed up for rag-ball! So we are about to get really busy!!! We have 3 pets as well, a boxer pup named Max, a beta fish named Shark Bait, and a snail named Scooby-Doo! 3 must be our number... : D
Damion drives a school bus for a living, so he has the best schedule. OFF in the summer! He is also the director for our church's puppet ministry, and one of the director's for our Vacation Bible School, and he is an usher at our church. Not to mention he is a wonderful husband and father. He is a great God-fearing man that the Lord knew needed to be in my life!
I am a Mary Kay beauty consultant, working my way to that FREE car, and I love it. It's my dream job that doesn't even feel like work. It is an awesome opportunity. I also have a 9 to 5 that I enjoy. It's at our local Steel Mill, so things are really slow right now and I'm thankful to have my Mary Kay business! I work in our church's nursery and children's church. Of course I help with the puppet ministry and VBS too. I also do our church's weekly bulletin - I really enjoy working for the Lord! He is the BEST boss... : D
Want to know something else... just ask!
Marley and Me! I loved it.

I absolutely fell in love with this movie..... I must purchase it when it comes out. Marley reminds me of my little Elsie and Rusty's big Buddy all bundled into one dog. For example Elsie made me chase her around the game room to get onto her for chewing up the bag the cat food was in... did I ever catch her. NO. I finally started throwing clothes at her so she would know I meant business. She ran for cover under Diane's desk.
We need updates!
Lisa, I know you have been sick.... I hope you are feeling better. Bailey is sick also. This weather is not helping I am sure. I will be praying for you.

oh yes, I forgot some people in the family
Rob is doing pretty good. Have not heard anything about the new job yet. Please pray for him.
Diane is the same, running kids around.
Johnny is okay. Haven't heard any complaints. He has been working a lot and needs prayers to help him sleep and rest better.
Andy's eye surgery seems to be working great. He can see with no glasses.
James and Nicole are still working on building their house.
James and Fonda are planting a garden... a big one.
Aunt Bert is still 87 and hanging in there.
Daddy's birthday is this month on the 13th.
Pray much, it works,
xoxoxox
What is up with the NON bloggers.....?
Ryan had an Orchestra concert today. He is still working on College stuff to make a final decision.
Bailey started dance and tumbling... ? I know she is learning to do cartwheels... lol ... bet that is cute to watch.
Mom is still waiting to get her biopsy results from her upper endoscopy (EGD) to try to figure out what is going on with her.
Fonda is having Gall Bladder surgery on 3/13 and still having lots of abdomen pain.
Billy is ill like Lisa with the crud. (but they both blog so I don't need to update anyone on them)
Elsie and Tucker had a bath today and got their nails clipped.... so cute in their little neck scarfs.
Callie the cat is old and feeble. She can still bat Elsie upside the head though.... lol...
Aaron, Ashton, Logan and Daddy as far as I know do not have any updating news right now.
We need to plan another family night for dinner. Anyone have any suggestions where they would like to go? Text me if you do and I will get it all set up.
Oh yeah, mom and dad will be in town for Ryan's graduation so I thought we would have a family reunion then. I am working on the plans for that now.
Love you all.
xoxoxo
p.s. Tanya and Raegan we need to know how the new pregnancy is coming along and how the boys are.

Christianity vs. Religion
“Why are you Christians always sending missionaries overseas? People have their own culture, their own religion, why don’t you just leave them alone?!” This is one of the most common statements we hear as we lecture on college and university campuses throughout the United States and around the world. Students and faculty often jeeringly ask us, “What is so special about Christianity, different from every religion in the world?” To be sure, this is a very significant question; and probably one of the most significant questions that any Christian could ask themselves: what is so special about Jesus Christ?
Our family has a close friend named Lou. Lou grew up in the nation of Thailand and he was a Buddhist for the first 20 years of his life until he met some Christian missionaries who introduced him to Jesus Christ. If you were to ask Lou today, “What is so special about Jesus Christ and Christianity different from every other religion in the world?” Lou would share with you the following story:
“When I was a Buddhist I felt like I was in the middle of a large lake. I was drowning and I didn’t know how to swim. As I struggled to keep my head above water, I looked out towards the shore and saw Buddha walking up to the edge of the lake. I was going under for the third time, when suddenly Buddha began shouting out instructions to me, teaching me how to swim. Buddha shouted, ‘Kick your legs and paddle your arms.’ But then Buddha said, ‘Lou, you must make it to shore by yourself.’ As I desperately struggled to follow the instructions of Buddha, I looked out towards the shore again, but this time I saw Jesus Christ walking towards the edge of the lake. However, Jesus did not stop at the edge of the lake. Jesus dove into the lake and he swam out and rescued me! And once Jesus had brought me safely back to shore, then he taught me how to swim, so that I could go back and rescue others!” You see, this is the key difference between Christianity and every other religion in the world: Christianity is not a religion! What are religions? Religions are about human attempts to make our lives right with God, through our good works, sacrifices, rituals, and money. However, Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is about God entering human history to graciously save men and women through His Son Jesus Christ. It is only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ and submitting to his Lordship that we will be saved. Let us be sharing this Truth with everyone! Be Blessed in Jesus!

Incredible Pizza
In other news, I have been making Tanya's business cards for her Mary Kay business for a year now. She just emailed me yesterday morning and asked if I would consider being her MK office support, and I would never have to buy Mary Kay again! I of course said YES! I have since made invitations and gift certificates and I am helping her update her customer contact information. We are working toward the goal of getting her business booming so that she will be able to possibly stay home when she has her new baby! YES! She is 9 weeks pregnant, and praying for a GIRL!
Other than that, Nathon's sick and trying to re coop this weekend so that he will be better by the time he returns to work Monday morning. And the kids are great, just been playing and driving each other crazy as usual! As for me, I stay busy taking care of everyone and the house, and I am very excited about my new endeavor of helping Tanya and getting paid with Mary Kay products that I enjoy!
That's all for now!

Who is Holly? Let me explain....
A wonderful story of God's supernatural hand in answering prayer.
James Rutz, author of MegaShift, tells a wonderful story of God's supernatural hand in answering prayer.
"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16).
"I have a good friend named Barclay Tait who sells vacation real estate in Niceville, Florida. Back in 1977, he was a 36-year-old Florida basketball coach. That summer, he decided to hitch-hike to a Christian conference in Front Royal, Virginia. Arriving four days early, he went to a nearby forest and pitched his tent by a stream. On the last day, a tall, thin hiker with a notebook under his arm suddenly appeared, startling him as he read his Bible. Barclay explained that he came out there to fast and meditate.
Dave, the hiker, replied, "Well, I'm an intercessor. What would you like me to pray for?"
Feeling somewhat overwhelmed, Barclay said, "Uh, frankly, I'd like prayer for a wife." The man wrote the request in his notebook and walked on.
By 1988, Barclay, now married to Sherry, has been divinely guided to move to Asheville, North Carolina. A chance encounter in the Holiday Inn parking lot led to an invitation to join a gathering of a Christian group outside of town. Arriving just before the 7:00 P.M. meeting, the host walks in from the kitchen and stops dead in his tracks. "I know you!" he exclaims, pointing his finger. "You're Barclay Tait!" Barclay draws a blank.
"Just a minute. I have something I want to show you," the host announces. He scampers upstairs, leaving the puzzled Taits standing in the middle of the suddenly hushed room. In a moment the host reappeared with a well-worn ledger book. "See here? This is where I wrote your prayer request in column one when I met you in Front Royal in 1977: 'Barclay Tait: God's choice for a wife.'" Barclay looked down at the journal entry. It was the most detailed, methodical prayer journal he'd ever seen.
"I prayed for you for seven years," proclaims Dave. "Then in the middle of the night on December 30, 1984, God woke me up out of a sound sleep and said, 'Write in your journal, "Prayer answered." So I did. See? Here in column two, "Prayer answered.'"
Barclay and Sherry look at each other with their mouths open. They sat down, and their eyes fill with tears. Quietly, Barclay tells Dave, "That was the day we were married."
